Client:

First Centre West Buses

Project:

Willesden Junction Depot

The Brief:

To provide drainage, hardstanding and lighting at the Willesden Junction site, a disused railway goods depot with a quick turnaround.

The Team:

A large Quantity Surveying practice, a Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Consultant as well as the CDM co-ordinator and the Garage Management Team. The project was to be administered by a consultant engineer from First Group, the client’s parent company.

Specific challenges:

  • It was to be ‘business as usual’ for the site during the works, which meant full access for large vehicles at all times.
  • A considerable amount of spoil had to be removed and certified hardcore and concrete brought onto site.
  • Additional works were added to the scheme during the process.

The Result:

The project was completed in advance of the completion date, within the client’s budget and to their satisfaction.
